Mt Hood Cycling Classic: Stage 2 TT

Ok, so the above photo is from the prologue but whatever, I'm on the TT bike, same thing.

My TT today was surprisingly ok.  Power was a little lower than I wanted but then again after yesterday's race I was pretty alright with just finishing the race.  Warming up with a teammate we both felt like crap, no legs and when we attempted a 30 second interval it lasted a whopping 5 seconds before we blew up.  In short my warmup was this:  play with aero gear for 30 minutes, 6 rolling competitions with a teammate to see who is more aero and one 5 second interval.  Somehow, that worked fairly well.  Legs came around right out of the gate and held a fairly consistent power, just enough to open them up for tonight.  Overall, not a phenomenal performance but was good for the legs.

Crit goals for tonight:
1) stay safe
2) survive to make the time cut
Yes, in that order.

Time: 25:23
Stage result:  114; 3:31 off the leader
GC result:  126; 37:40 off the leader
a nice little road hazard on corner 1 of the TT

  1. I'm even more impressed that you posted that TT time while stopping to take a picture of the llama.
