Cherry Pie race report

Yeah, I know this is late.  Get over it.
Nope, not me.  One of our teammates looking a whole
lot more badass than I ever could

Let's just say I put off writing this because Cherry Pie didn't quite go as planned.  We (Team O) went into this race thinking it would stay together and that we'd be able to set up a decent leadout for the uphill finish.  Heck, we had 3 guys who could contest it so we were bound to put someone in the top 5, right?

We couldn't have been much more wrong.  The weather was surprisingly nice, sunny and warm (enough) but with a strong enough cross wind that it could create some trouble.  And it did.  A group of 7 just rolled off the front of the field and soon grew to 14 and they were off, never yo be seen again.  Looking back on it, we were really stupid.  We put one guy in the break but it wasn't the horsepower or the numbers we were looking for.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.  Hey, it's lessons learned right?  Wound up finishing 16th on the.  Yeah, I had an awesome kick and blew people away but it's going to be hard to catch a break 3+ minutes up the road in a 200m kick...

Heck, it was the season opener and we all stayed safe.  Couldn't really ask for more.
