San Dimas Stage Race: holy crap, this is happening

Here I sit in Southern California, still amazed that this trip is actually happening.  When I was initially presented with this trip proposal I thought "yeah right, there's no way that could happen" and then things started falling into place.  Next thing I know I'm on a plane and then riding along the California coast.

You know those places you see pictures of with palm trees, resorts on the ocean and surfers everywhere?  This is it.  Ok, I'm a few months early but you get the picture.

Anyway, uphill TT tomorrow.  Excited, apprehensive, anxious and intimidated are all good words to describe how I'm feeling right about now.  That said, it's going to be 20 degrees warmer than Portland and 267363 times drier.  Heck, it's less than 4 miles, how bad could it be?

But, do you know the best part about today?  Riding--no tights, no rain jacket, no shoe covers/booties and it was dry the entire time!  In the words of the esteemed Mr. Sheen "WINNING" --yes, JLV, that was just for you.
